2025 Hunger Report

CLIENT: CAPITAL AREA FOOD BANK

Designed at Eighty2degrees, creative direction by Ambica Prakash

For the sixth year in a row, Eighty2degrees partnered with CAFB to work on their annual Hunger Report microsite to highlight widespread hunger challenges existing within the DC-Maryland-Virginia area.

This year’s report was designed with the chaotic hunger landscape in mind through the use of a dynamic collage style. Jagged, layered shapes and large typography create a sense of instability. Linework and food patterning in the background serve as both a decreasing graph and steep cliff line—a metaphor for the steep landscape being navigated, while a darker palette creates a feeling of unease.

MY ROLE: DESIGN & DIRECTION

In addition to the digital report, CAFB held an event at George Washington University to speak to their findings, share stories, and hold a panel discussion.

Day-of collateral, ranging from posters and a program to social graphics and slide designs, pulled from the report design to create a seamless experience for visitors.
